Some of the protesters also pelted stones at a police station, District Magistrate Avinash K Singh said. “The internet services have been suspended as a precautionary measure to prevent rumour-mongering,” the DM added. |

Meerut District Magistrate Anil Dhingra told ANI that internet services have been suspended in the district from 12 pm of December 15 to 12 pm of December 16 in view of law and order maintenance.
